Question: I have a low 80 average for high school... However, I go to an extremely challenging private prep-school. (Regular classes at my school are considered to be honors level for public school) Do colleges recognize this? Or am now at a disadvantage? - Post a Response

ceresma I would say allot depends on your standardized test scores and which schools you are going to target. Most schools try to compare students from your own school so class rank is often important. Good Luck!

nzhang24 I'm having the same issue. My grades are average (higher than I have listed on here), I'm in the honors program at school, but just my grades/test scores alone would only get me into a mediocre school. I have my sights set on Ohio University. Any advice?
