For me, I just used my interests to lead the interviewer. Usually, interviewer asks a general question to start. For example, mine said, tell me about your background and interests.
I talked about my background and then went to talk about science and debate which were my two activities I do in high school.
We spent a good amount of time talking about debates and science fair projects and it was great.
All I have to say is, don't fake it. They know exactly what you're up to because then they'll start to ask questions you can't answer. |

Nah. Because I was not born in the US, and I wanted to emphasize that to offset my sat scores heh...I talked about where I grew up. When I moved to US. When I moved to the high school I was in for a brief moment. Just to put into perspective how my achievements are significant because the interviewers are from the town where everyone does well. |

Well, mention any personal obstacles maybe and show how you're really positive and all that despite those. I mean, I've moved about 8 times, so I tend to adapt to new situations quickly and warm up to people easily, so that just comes to me. |

be confident, make sure you look the interviewer in the eye when your adressing them. try to be calm, but assertive. you have to show them that your mature and original, and you have charisma, not just that you're intelligent, but that you're inspired by the subject matter. make sure you know all about the uni and the course's proffessors and you know why you want to major in that. |

here's some quick tips for ya:
1) don't be too arrogant. not only will it make the conversation uncomfortable but they probably won't put in a good word for you.
2) wear something that makes you stand out. make yourself unique! wear a nice t-shirt from your favorite vacation spot, an interesting accessory, or anything that you can relate a story to. whatever you do, DONT WEAR A SUIT!!!!
3) bring in a little notebook and ask questions and write down stuff that you find interesting. not only will it show that you're engaged but the stuff you write down will help you making decisions afterwards. however, don't be a nerd and write down every word for word in a huge spiral.
be yourself and use common sense and you'll be just fine! |

Make a list about interesting things about you... even (perhaps especially) things that you find embarrassing. But in a quirky way. |

just be relaxed and comfortable, as hard as it sounds. Brag, but don't seem arrogant....and try to answer questions in a manner that sheds light onto your positive traits. |

i've only done one interview, but i just had some questions ready beforehand and asked him if i could ask him the questions. he liked that i was prepared and knew a little about the school already. if you can, try to do pretend interview questions beforehand. Also, i found that my experience as being an interviewer myself really calmed me down. |
